This is an innovative technology to generate energy from the up and down motion of waves. Designed and Developed at University of British Columbia. 4 Engineering students from disciplines Mechanical,Integrated,and Engineering Physics were actively involved for 4 months.....from idea generation to final prototype testing phase.This prototype a scaled version that makes 15 Watts of energy in 10 inch high waves, with further improvements its expected to make around 100 Watts, eventually powering homes at offshore,offgrid houses. |
